Right now (late March → April), Cebu is entering its best fruit season of the year—the dry, hot months when sugars concentrate and tropical fruits peak. See what we have growing at Escario BOTANICAL Garden. Here’s exactly what’s in season now:

Peak Right Now (March–April in Cebu)

Mango (Carabao / Manila mango)

  • Ultra-sweet ripe mango (best you’ll taste all year)

  • Green mango with bagoong (classic local snack)

Duhat (Java plum)

  • Flavor: sweet + slightly astringent

  • Usually sold by street vendors, stains your tongue purple

Melons (Cantaloupe / Honeydew)

  • Common in:

    • Fresh juice

    • Halo-halo

    • Street fruit shakes


Also Coming In (Late April → Early Summer)

Watermelon (Pakwan)

  • Refreshing, widely available in hot season

Pineapple

  • Sweet, juicy, excellent in Cebu markets

Langka (Jackfruit)

  • Very aromatic, used fresh or in desserts

Siniguelas (Spanish plum)

  • Small red fruit, sweet-tart, very seasonal
